Forum Outage

Good Morning,

I'm sorry about the outage last evening. From about 8:30 PM EDT yesterday until early this morning there was a sever problem that caused error messages when trying to access data on the forum. This was the second outage in a week, and I'm starting to feel a little concerned about the reliability of this service. The good news is that there was no data lost, and the support team was able to fix the problem in a reasonable amount of time.

I've got my fingers crossed that there won't be any more outages!

BB boards do that once in awhile, but not too often, fortunately. Once
in a blue moon they do upgrades as well, but they always warn everyone
in advance. It never lasts very long.



I've tried setting up a supplemental yahoo group, as a kind of
emergency meeting place when my own forum is down, but nobody bothered
with it.

People generally don't mind waiting for a day.

For some reason, this forum has had more outages than the old forum. The first week I created the forum the site was down twice (which worried me since it was still so new, and I'd feared I'd made a bad choice of host), but they've been quick to fix the problems, so I've been happy here so far!

Is your forum dedicated to divination with cards, etc.?

Yes, but with a very different feel. A lot smaller and looser. There's
less posting on oracles and more on TdM. I didn't plan it, it just
happened.



It's fun to make these things and see what they turn into.
