Crescent Spread - Family Relationship

I'm concerned that I may have seriously damaged my relationship with my brother by defending my family against a viscous verbal attack from his ex-wife.

Since the Gypsy cards predicted this whole mess, I've decided to consult them about how my relationship with my brother will proceed over the next month. I used the Crescent Spread. Here's what came up...

Ouch! The focus of the Spread is Desire. The Desire card has represented my brother's ex-wife in recent daily draws, so it makes sense that she's showing up in this spread. She is at the core of my relationship problems with my brother, and she will continue to have a direct influence over the next month. There's no big surprise there-- with tears and threats she has manipulated him into defending her despite her obvious culpability!

Jealousy + Officer + Misfortune represent the present or recent past. Jealousy represents me causing problems between my brother and his ex. Desire's partner card is Officer, so I'm inclined to read Officer as my brother. These cards show that the problems in my relationship with my brother were caused by the blowup with his ex-wife. The order suggests that he's feeling caught in the middle, and that the situation has caused a further blowup between him and his ex-wife. I don't know if that is true or not since he refuses to return my calls. I think Officer can also indicate that I did the right thing-- or at least that I stood up for what I believed was right.

Baby + Letter + Hope represent the future-- 2 weeks to 3 months. Baby shows a new beginning or fresh start. That's good news. Letter represents communication, so I get the sense that my brother and I will talk things out. Hope can indicate that the resolution will take longer than I anticipate, but I should not give up hope-- things are headed in the right direction. Phew!

My brother hooked up with his childhood sweetheart through facebook. I did a lenormand spread that showed his ex-wife would try to cause problems because she cannot stand to see my brother happy. Well, she did cause problems, and when I reconnected with my brother's childhood sweetheart (we had been good friends years ago when she dated my brother) his ex-wife launched an attack against me and my family.

This is an interesting spread and it makes perfect sense. Did you draw the Desire by chance or did you choose the card to represent your brother´s ex?

I also hope (hummm, not trying to be funny here) this situation has a good solution for all involvedm specially for the relationship between you and your brother.

Hi Stanze,

This spread does not use a significator, so Desire fell by chance-- well, not really by chance, but I'm not the one who chose it.
