Gypsy Card Daily Draw
In an effort to better learn the Gypsy cards, I thought I would try a daily draw this morning, and I came up with this lovely combination...

Taking these cards literally, it looks like I could be swindled out of some money today. I had better double check receipts, statements, transactions, etc. I think it's possible that the Money card could refer to anything I hold valuable-- perhaps a piece of jewelry could be stolen.
I'm not sure what to make of Ecclesiastic. It usually represents a protector, spiritual advisor, or faith-- so perhaps I'll be protected from this event in some way. Esther Gombor says that Ecclesiastic can also refer to something that affects one deeply-- which makes this trio even more worrisome. Thank the card gods that events in a daily draw are not usually life altering!
Maybe these cards just mean that my financial frustrations are a spiritual lesson (how's that for New-Age interpretation!)
Why can't I just get happy cards?

I thought you were serious for a second.

*shudder*
My thought is that someone would be caught in a lie or deception -- or actual theft.

Ah, yes... that definitely clicks with me. Ecclesiastic could indicate that the theft or lie is revealed. Thank you!

Re: Gypsy Card Daily Draw
I was thinking if Money could also mean something that has some "value" for you, not necessarily financial. I mean, if you value the word of a friend, the thief could mean a lie that would then be discovered (I liked this association with the Key of LN for ecclesiastic, rif). And this also matches more or less with rif's thoughts.
I do agree with the options you guys gave. I was just thinking out-of-the-box here.

Hi Stanze,
I was thinking the same thing about the money card. Nothing happened today that will validate the reading, but it's possible that these cards could take several days to manifest in my experience.
Thank you for your great insights!

Daily Draw for 10-02-09
I didn't do a daily draw for today. I meant to, but I got sidetracked. So I drew three cards for tomorrow in case I get busy tomorrow morning...
Visit.........Love.........Baby
Literally a pleasant visit with a child-- maybe we'll end up doing something fun with the kids tomorrow.
It could also be a pleasant visit with someone new-- maybe I'll meet a new friend tomorrow.
Visit can also mean something 'temporary' or 'short-lived,' so it could also be 'a short-lived new love.' I'm not likely to meet a new love-- if I value my life
-- so maybe it's a short-lived enthusiasm for something new like these Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards! I have a tendency to become enthusiastic with a new deck, and then the excitement and interest fizzles out rather quickly.
I'm really diggin' these cards right now, though!

Re: Gypsy Card Daily Draw
The song "Baby Love" comes to my mind (more the 80s remake by Regina than the original). Which probably is nothing more than random association, but I thought I'd share anyway.

Hi rif,
Your reference immediately made me think of the song with the same name by the Supremes. I didn't remember the song by Regina, so I found the music video on YouTube. I also came across a modern song with the same title by Nicole Scherzinger.
I figured it could be more than just a random association, and I wanted to make sure I have all the bases covered!
Thank you!

It was a relatively quiet and peaceful day for me yesterday. I did visit some new sites on the internet that I enjoyed, which could be what these cards were referring to-- not life altering, but accurate nonetheless.
For today's draw I got...
Ecclesiastic..........Loss..........Sweetheart

Will I lose faith in my lady love? Never!
Perhaps Sweetheart is meant to be read in an abstract sense, and my faith will be restored in something today-- a loss of spiritual direction?
Time will tell...
Re: Gypsy Card Daily Draw
Maybe it's a feeling of disappointment or feeling defeated by something you would care about (it came to my mind the idea of the problems with the Forum...).
Ecclesiastic = the Forum
Loss = disappointment with the problems in the server
Sweetheart = is something you really care.
Also, the cards ending with Sweetheart shows me the problems will be solved or you will find alternatives to a good solution (you just posted the idea of writing the cards together with the figures...)

Re: Gypsy Card Daily Draw
I'm actually quite perturbed by the missing images, so your interpretation definitely hits home!
I agree that Sweetheart shows things will work out in the end, and that's really comforting to know!
Thanks, Stanze!

I think Stanze hit it with her interp of yesterday's daily draw. I was consumed all day with damage control on the missing images on the forum.
Interestingly, I drew Ecclasiastic again this morning, so I believe today's cards deal with the same issue. Here's what I got...
Enemy-----------Ecclesiastic----------Constancy

Enemy refers to the problems going on with the forum (the damage happening behind the scenes), and Ecclesiastic again refers to something that affects me deeply, or something I had faith in (of course I have faith that when something is posted on the forum, it will be there forever-- silly me!) Constancy is worrisome because it represent 'no change.' This suggests to me that the damage is done, and missing images on forum will stay gone.
I found some information on the support forum that confirms this message-- the missing smilies were caused by a break in all of the image links during a directory restructuring. The smiley code links have already been fixed, so it looks like whatever is missing is missing for good.

I think yesterday's cards were about the forum issues-- nothing else occurred that could relate to this draw.
This morning I thought I would pull my daily draw from the Art Deco Fortune Telling Cards. Here's what I got...
Profit-------Widow-----Pride

My immediate impression is that I'll profit from separating myself from pride. I've got my Mars in Leo, and I can be quite prideful, so this is sound advice. Widow could also be an older woman, so an alternative interpretation would be that I'll benefit from an older woman who is arrogant, but the first interpretation feels more authentic to me.
I was intrigued by this draw, and the more I thought about it, the more I thought I should have drawn one or two additional cards for more information. So, I decided to draw another three cards-- not so much to test the oracle, but to see if I could get clarification on the original spread. Here is what came up...
Treason-------Fortune--------Pride

A-hah! Never mind clarification! How's that for a confirmation! These cards clearly show that I'll betray my good fortune by being prideful. That hit me right between the eyes! These cards don't fool around when they have a message to impart!
I'll need to keep that Mars energy in check, and be especially aware of my actions today!
