Contessa's Lenormand Spread - Is Someone New Coming?

This morning I decided to try out Contessa's method for reading the Lenormand. You can find a video presentation of her method on her blog here: A Video Presentation of How I Read Cards in Three Parts.

The client wanted to know if someone new would be coming into her life in the next 3 months. I chose Rider as the significator to represent a new man coming into her life. Here are the cards that came up...

Rider + Heart + Clouds + Mountain + Fish


I predicted that a new man would be entering the client's life, but there would be problems and delays connected with this person. Specifically...

Rider + Heart represents a new relationship coming into the querent's life.
Heart + Clouds indicates that this person will be unsure of his feelings-- perhaps conflicted or confused emotions.
Clouds + Mountain shows that this uncertainty will keep the relationship from moving forward.
Mountain + Fish suggests that this person has been single for a long time, and may not feel ready for a committed relationship. Both Mountain and Fish can refer to 'being single,' and Mountain specifically refers to something persistent. In other words, he may be too used to (Mountain) his freedom (Fish), or too set in his ways.

Not the best news, but Fish as the final card gives me the impression that a positive outcome is possible if the client plays it smart (Fish refers to the intellect). The querent will need wit and resourcefulness to make it work.

I thought Contessa's method worked really well for me, and I wanted to share it here on the forum!

It didn't occur to me that to use the reflection technique, but I agree that it seems to work really well! Heart + Mountain gives me the same sense that this man is out of touch with his emotions, and I agree that Clouds with Heart and Mountain suggests that he runs hot and cold. Rider + Fish suggests also suggests someone detached. Not a pretty picture.

I specifically chose Rider because Man had already been used to represent the client's ex-boyfriend. I wanted to make sure that the cards would focus on someone completely new entering her life. Otherwise, I don't see any reason why you couldn't use Man for this question as well.

When you say 'the love' do you mean the Heart? I think the Heart as a key card might provide a more general look at her love life, and it was nice that it was available to show up in the spread.
