Le Normand ARLO suggestions for interpretations
When I was putting together everything to go with Le Normand ARLO
there was the box, a card with each deck's number (it's a limited edition)
and instructions... but it was very difficult to choose "which instructions"
because there are so many out there. Finally I chose to write out my own
with just the basics as I see them, trusting that people would enjoy them,
ignore them, or whatever they wanted~ hopefully, to develop their own.
So, here they are, and I would enjoy any comments and questions as to
how or why one might view the cards this way. They represent what is
to me the basic bottom line unadorned sense of the cards as I see them.
Thanks! ~Arlo

Hi Arlo
Thanks for sharing this. I already said that your cards are wonderful. Did you draw them yourself?

Hi Arlo,
Thank you for sharing your Arlo Le Normand meanings! I think a basic bottom line list of meanings is a good thing to have on hand. I hope you don't mind that I made the thread a 'sticky' so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of the any new threads coming in.

Hi Stanze,
The images are mostly gleaned from late 19th and early 20th century illustrations,
but for about a third of them, I nearly completely rearranged everything digitally.
My goal was to have an identifiable visual, as seen in an actual table spread, and it
lead to many fine tunings of the original images. I kept making cards by hand to see
how they would look in action. Some very nice images just didn't work for the deck.
28 Gentleman was so frustrating... I finally found him at the library! Almost every
picture of men standing around has them doing something! The ladies are happily
posed in various dress, but the guys are busy fellows. But this one looks snappy!
Many Thanks!

That's completely fine by me, I'm honoured really. With all the online sites
with detailed meanings of the more traditional sort, I wanted to provide a
guideline for getting the feel of a Lenormand, trusting folks would easily
be able to track down a surplus of possibilities... but it was a bit of work.
I hope that they never get in anybodies way, but may open a few doors.
Thanks!

There are so many meanings associated with each card that it's easy to over-think an interpretation. The most basic meaning is often the most appropriate meaning in a spread-- IMHO
I appreciate you sharing your beautiful Arlo Le Normand card images, your Crossroads Spread, and your Lenormand meanings.
