no layout - about a house

Hi all


I am new in this forum and I recently became interested in Lenormand cards through a friend. I want your help with the following reading.

My parents want to buy a house and although the seller had agreed to a down payment , he changed his mind and agreed to sell it to someone else.

I wanted to know whether there is a chance - since they havent officially signed the contracts yet - that they might break the contract or something else might happen that would make him sell it to us.

I got the following cards;



All I can think of is:

Horseman+Woman+House = News concerning the house from a woman - probably the real estate agent?

House+Tower= Penthouse ( it is a penthouse indeed) or large apartment building (which is also true - it is a building with 40 apartments)

Rider+Storks = Residential move

All the above combos make me think that there is a possibility that eventually we will buy the house..

What do you think? Can we also predict the timing from the above cards?

Any help will be much appreciated

Hi Tania

Welcome around! I think you have made a good interpretation in your cards. I would consider the storks as two things though:

1 - it will be a change and the apt will be to your parents anyway; OR
2 - they will finish buying some other place

There is no card after the storks and that's why it made me think about these 2 possibilities.

Your reading obviously applies to your question, but I agree with with Stanze that the outcome is not very clear. Did you happen to notice which card would have followed Storks? These cards do show a move, but I can't decide if it's into the building you want, or if it will be another building that you hear about (Rider + Woman).

When I draw a No-Layout, I always include three cards before and after the key card because I've found that very often two cards on either side is not enough to tell the complete story.

I'm sorry to hear that the deal was pulled out from under your parents, and I hope the owner of the building does decide to honor his original promise.

I've found it's very important to be precise with the Lenormand. So, for example, don't ask if things "might" change, because things might always change. I would ask if they "will" change -- a small but important difference.

Rider + Lady + House + Tower + Storks

I think suddenly receiving news from the realtor makes sense for the left. Everything probably happened very quickly with this matter. The right side certainly says that things might change; that there is a chance that the current deal will change -- reading Tower as legal matters and taking possession, and Storks as change. But at this stage I don't think it's at all definite, and a purchase does not feel like it would be for this house.

Kaph has good advice for adding extra cards. I find that sometimes having more is confusing as well, it depends if the extra cards fit the story. So it depends on the reading as well as your comfort level.

I would read these last set of cards as "plans will have some detours and talks will be happen on a family level". On the other side the Lily can also mean someone else that will come to offer something better.

Stars + Snake + Lady + Lily + Birds

I don't think this reading is very positive either. The hopes (Stars) of purchasing this house are either on a detour or being impinged by backstabbing, depending on how you read the Snake. A woman could be involved in this situation. With Lily and Birds there could be family meetings, in the sense of discussion, about the whole thing.

The main thing with this reading is that there isn't a clear yes. There isn't a definitive no, but this is the second reading you've done on this same subject, and neither one gives me the feeling that your family will be able to buy this home.

Stanze and I just cross-posted, and I see that she reads these cards as I did. Perhaps the family discussion will be to plan what's next, when the plans aren't working as hoped on this house.

Any further thoughts, based on all of our interpretations?

I think I saw somewhere in this forum a reading you have done about a house and you used a 9-card layout
You chose the house as the significator and then randomly picked up 8 cards

Do you think it would be wise to try this layout as a last resort or I'd better leave it as it is? Would this layout give us any more info?

I do think that maybe you'll get only confusing readings now as you have already asked twice about the same subject/house. I would advise you to wait a little bit and see how things are going to develop further and then try again.

Hi Tania,

I get a similar feel from these cards as everyone else-- not at all positive. Stars + Snake indicates corruption or double-dealing to me, so whatever is going on with the sale, it's not on the up and up. I could interpret Lily + Birds a couple of different ways. These cards could refer to an older couple who are involved in the deal, or Lily + Birds can also refer to a lawyer or spokesperson who may have talked the homeowner out of selling to your parents.
