No layout - Job
Hi LNers
I've sent my CV to apply for a job. The deadline was over but they still allowed me to send my CV. I asked the cards, will I be called for an interview?
Gosh! This doesn't look good
!
This is a no-layout and I've chosen Anchor for the Job (maybe I should have chosen Whips for conversations... never mind).
There were some obstacles (the deadline was over) but they were nice and allowed me to send the CV anyway. The last card after the Anchor was the Coffin in the set of cards so I don't have any other card to see where this change is leading to. It could mean a definitely NO to my question but it could also mean a good Yes provoking changes in my actual job situation (a contract will be ended - coffin+ring).
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Stanze

Hi Stanze,
it doesn't look good, the only thing I can remind you is that according to Steinbach, if the theme card is not in the first 15 cards, the reading is not so reliable as if it is.
So, let's hope the reading is wrong.

Hi Stanze,
Ring + Mountain + Bouquet + Anchor + Coffin
I'm sorry. I agree that this spread doesn't look good. Coffin is the card that indicates 'no' for simple yes/no questions for me as well. I'm not sure if you charged Anchor to represent the new job, but if you did, chances are that it would not represent your current job.
It couldn't hurt to re-try your question if you don't feel clear about the answer. The fact that the card fell so close to the end of the deck could indicate that you may not have been focused enough on your question when you drew the cards.

Hi Serena,
Can you let us know where you read about the 15 card rule? It's not something I've run across in Sylvie's book or the virtual workshop. Thanks!
I have seen Sylvie remark that if the key card comes up as the last card draw, or near the end of the deck, it can indicate a lack of focus when charging the key card, or that the question was not formulated clearly enough. But she's also said that only limited information may be available regarding the future, and the 2 or three cards behind the key card may be more significant.

I think the Anchor was charged to represent a phone call for an interview; the question was, would Stanze get called in for an interview? So this spread shouldn't show the old job at all.
I agree, this spread's outcome doesn't look good.

I also felt there was a lack of focus in the question process, so I think this is excellent advice.
Good luck, Stanze!

Hi Stanze,
I'm sorry sweetie, but I agree that this doesn't look good for this job. You could redo it to clarify and maybe get more info.

Re: No layout - Job
Hi Stanze and Kapherus,
I don't remember exactly where I read it. It has to do with focus, as you said.
Since I exchanged a cople of e-mails with Sylvie, it could also be that she wrote it to me.

Re: No layout - Job
Hi everybody
Yep, I also agree that this doesn't look good at all. I didn't know about the lack of focus story so maybe it was it - not sure. I've charged the "anchor" to represent job and in this case related to the new one. It came as the one before the last in the set of cards.
Maybe I'll try again but then with another oracle as I don't wanna keep repeating the question...
Thanks for all the comments!!!!!

Thanks, Serena! I just wanted to confirm that you heard it directly from Sylvie, and not from someone else.

Good idea, Stanze! I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I'm hoping you'll get a more positive response!

I'm sorry too Stanze, that it doesn't look good.
I'm anxious to see your results of the new layout for clarification and more info.
Good luck to you!
