Karma Cards by Monte Farber
My sister brought this deck with her when she came to visit for the holidays, and I had a chance to play around with it a little.
I don't really see the connection to Karma since the system is clearly based on astrology (maybe because the moon nodes are included?), but I think it's an interesting concept. If nothing else, it's a fun way to learn more about astrology.
Anyone else have experience using this deck?

I don't have it anymore, but if it's the one I think it is, I used to use it as a supplement to teaching English as a foreign language. It got quite dadaist at times, and it was fun.
I can't take it too seriously, though. It's the one where you draw one card from each of three stacks and put a sentence together?

Hi Chanah,
Yep, that's the one. What a great idea using it to teach English-- it might be useful to teach basic astrology too!
Nah, I wouldn't take it too seriously either, but it is fun!

They used to have another set like that for love questions - Cupid Cards, I think they were called. Those were really cute and a lot of fun, too.

Aw, I haven't seen the Cupid Cards. I bet they were cute!
My sister also has the Zerner-Farber Tarot which I had not seen previously. I was amazed by how beautiful this deck is, and it makes me want to explore their other offerings.

I got these cards for my birthday one year from my friend.
I tried to use them several times and could never connect to them, same thing for the gypsy witch playing cards. By that I mean getting accurate understandable readings.
Angela McGerr also has these angel cards that the same friend got me for me. She got me the Harmony Angel Cards and the Heart & Soul Angel Cards. Those are also something I cannot connect with.
The decks I do connect with are my Rider-Waite Tarot, Osho Zen Tarot, and my Saints & Angels deck by Doreen Virtue.

Re: Karma Cards by Monte Farber
Monte gets rather carried away at times... could it be Karma..?
Below you may read where he imagines one of his wife's many
decks has sold "well over" a quarter of a million copies (haha!)
after a rant about a Lo Scarabeo deck, imported by Llewellyn.
To claim anyone ripped off his wife's creativity using the WORD
"enchanted" is pretty bizarre ~ and even so, sales likely tanked
on their deck the same as Lo Scarabeo's. Tarot's a tiny market.

My name is Monte Farber and I am, with my wife, artist Amy Zerner, the creator of the original "The Enchanted Tarot." We even have the U.S. Trademark for "The Enchanted Tarot" and we pointed this out to Llewellyn Publsihing before they tried to publish this infringing deck back in 2000 and they gave us their word that they were going to change the name.
Well, either they decided not to keep their word or something else is going on here and in either case, it's not fair and it's not legal and I've written to Amazon to get them to stop selling this deck. It may be the greatest deck in the world - I of course think our "Enchanted Tarot" book and card set is a lot better ;-) - but it cannot be sold under our trademarked name. Can you believe it? Even in the world of tarot there are people who do things like this? I hope I can get Amazon and Llewellyn (if these new decks are coming from them) to remove this item but if they want to play like that, we'll be taking them to court.
Our "Enchanted Tarot" has sold well over 250,000 copies in five languages and we and our US Publisher, St. Martin's Press, have to defend what is ours. I hope something like this never happens to you. Take care. Monte Farber

He says "EVEN in the world of Tarot there are people who do things like this?" Tarot's one of the dirtiest worlds there is and he's right in the big middle of 'em. What a maroon.
