More Daily Readings from John Holland's Psychic Tarot

This was the spread that came with the PSY cards and I have not used before. I thought I would try it with the Jon Holland cards and got a very interesting reading.

Here is how the spread works

The spread called 'the vital 7'

Shuffle the deck divide the deck and reshuffle.

Fan the cards and choose one that you are drawn to as the card that represents 'you' the Inquirer.
Place this card face up. It will be in the centre of all the other cards.

Put the deck back together.

Take the first
6 cards from the top of the pile.

Place them face down as follows and turn up one by one.


Place card 1 (left) and 2 (right) next to each other above the inquirer card

Place card 3 to the left of the inquirer card and card 4 to the right of the inquirer card in line

Place card 5 (left) and 6 (right) next to each other under the inquirer card - 7 cards in total.

The top line (1+2) = the past

The middle line (3+4) = the present

The bottom line (5+6) = the future.

Cards 1, 3 and 5 (top to bottom to the left of the inquirer card) are cards/ people / situations that influence you.

Cards 2,4 and 6 (top to bottom on the right of the inquirer card) are cards/ people /situations you have influence over.

Here is my first draw using this spread.

My question was about the future with particular reference to the future nuptials, meeting the in-laws and an immanent seminar to do with my new direction at work. - a bit muddled but that's what came to mind whilst shuffling. -I am a worrier!


The inquirer card

Well how appropriate because that is what I am asking - What is my destiny?

The past

1) 3 emotional (3 of cups) Rejoice in Celebration

This relates to the announcement of the long awaited engagement.

2) 2 Physical (2 of coins) Movement, Choices, Decisions

This is the many decisions that have been made or discarded already to do with the wedding arrangements.


The Present

3) 21 (world) The Universe

Oh good this is the best card ever to know tha tthe universe is on my side!

4) 8 (Strength) Power
And another one to let me know that I have the strength to deal with any situation. Could also mean that I am going to come up against some opposition!


The Future

5) 2 emotional (2 of cups) Spiritual Union

This is both the wedding and what I hope to get from the course as it is a way of tapping into intuition and healing.

6) 5 (Heirophant) Wisdom

This too is the course as it points to a teacher and I have things to learn.


So the things that influence me and my destiny are:-

The celebrations that are going on and all the joy that is coming from that. The universal energy that is coming my way and the spiritual union of both the happy couple and the spiritual side of my course.


The things I have influence over and my destiny are:-

The choices and decisions that have been and are yet to be made. I have the strength to do what I need and also I am going to gain a lot from this course if I am open to the teaching and wisdom that I am seeking.

The future in-laws have been met and are very nice and the preparations for the wedding are moving on apace.


I did another more specific draw on the course that I am attending this weekend. I asked if this course was going to provide me with all that I hope for.


I used the VItal 7 draw - I really like this draw!


The enquirer card was Passion ignited (Ace Wands) - very appropriate as this card refers to how I feel about the new subject I am learning about and is the reason for this course.

The 2 past cards

Movement, choices, Decisions (2 of coins) this points to the choice I had to make to move forward with my learning and hoping this was the right direction.

Rejoice in Celebration (3 of cups) This is the happiness I felt when a) I finally made the decision and found that there was a course in the UK and b) I finally managed to get my payment to go through despite the web site!

The present

Major Arcana - New Beginnings (the fool) - How appropriate I feel as though I am stepping out on a new journey

Major Arcana - Destiny (the wheel of fortune) - Another appropriate card as I feel that this new direction is part of my destiny and at the moment things are going in the right direction.


The future

Suffering in silence - (9 of swords) I have to be prepared to let go of my self limiting beliefs so that I can really attain what I want. Well there is a lesson to learn.


Major Arcana - Wisdom (Heirophant) Someone is about to step into my life and impart knowledge, it's time to leave something behind and move forward. The book of knowledge is waiting for me to write another page.

So what is influencing me are

choices I have made, the new beginnings I feel are starting and my slef limiting beliefs.

What I have influence over is the joy of what I am doing, that fact that this is part of my destiny and that I need to grasp the knowledge nettle and move forward.

Wow weird how appropriate these cards are. (and how 4 of the same cards turned up in the last reading which included this course!) I feel I have the answer to the question and I just need to keep my mind open and move forward positively.

I thought I would do a star spread about an upcoming tarot workshop I am due to attend.

The question was I am going to benefit / gain a lot from this workshop

Card 1 - the nature of the question

Well that is very appropriate as I am really tired at the moment and I am looking at this from the expenditure of brain cells!

Card 2 - The reason for the question

Accelerated motion

This points to the fact that I need to go on this course to move forward and progress.

Card 3 - Contributing factor

Emotional Withdrawal

This course is going to take some time on my own to focus on what I can learn.


Card 4 - answer to the question or advice

Love Begins

Well this is very positive. It suggests that I am going to love the course and like the tarot a bit more. (I have a new deck arriving!)

Card 5 - The Outcome

Stand your Ground

This card says I am going to keep my individuality and follow my own method of reading the cards - after I have assimilated what I need to know from this course and made it mine.

Well I feel a lot more positive now. I am particularly looking forward to the new deck (Magical Forest).
