More Daily Readings from John Holland's Psychic Tarot
Today I asked a different question.
I have a few people who are going to ask me some searching questions today and I want to know how I am going to handle/ cope with them
I drew the usual three cards by cutting the deck into 3 and took the top card off the first 2 piles. As I was about to reach for the third, the dog nudged my elbow and my hand landed on the second pile again so I drew the card I landed on. I did not muddy the waters by looking at the card on the top of the third pile.
Card No1 - the Crown chakra Card. This relates to the energy that flows through the crown from the universe. This tells me that the universe will be there to both inspire my thoughts and give me strength and balance. The key words for this chakra are "I can" It is also card No 7 of the chakra cards. 7 relates to learning the lessons of life so I have something to learn from this situation! All very positive
Card No2 - Emotion 9 (9 of cups) Fulfillment of wishes. On the surface this looks as though I shall get the desired outcome. The picture says a lot more. It shows a wise old man standing on a leaf haloed by golden light. He carries a rolled up scroll in the crook of his elbow and is sniffing a flower. At his feet is a chest which is slightly open showing the golden light that is within. On either side, and behind him are two great waterfalls. This a place of peace and life.
The scrolls represent knowledge, the flower is the blossom of a life, the chest is the treasure that we all store up through a lifetime. The waterfall also is a symbol of life and the flow is strong. The plant that the man is standing on is still growing and is healthy, fed by the water. This looks a beautiful place to be.
This card shows me that I have the knowledge, wisdom, and energy to do what I need to to do today. The outcome will be based on all the things that have happened in my life that have been stored away waiting for me to open the chest and use the contents. The number 9 is also about humanitarian concern and ambition
Card No 3 Spirit 9 (9 of Rods) Spiritual Strength. This card shows a man in gold edged green robes (he could be a priest of some sort) with head bowed. Behind him bathed in green light is the statue of a kneeling Buddha (?) it has it's eyes closed and it's hands above it's head supporting the roof of the building. There is a golden light cutting across the card behind his back and a circle of light just visible above and behind his shoulders Surrounding this statue is a ring of purple light.
It seems that either I am going to achieve some spiritual strength from today from what ever occurs or I can use my spiritual strength to help me. The purple circle relates back to the first card as the colour of the crown chakra and the number 9 and the Buddha points more towards the humanitarian concern of this number, telling me that if I want the desired outcome I have to be kind to the questioner and realise where they are coming from.
All quite positive then and very deep too.
Right on with my day!
Later.............. well that was an interesting day. Certainly lots of questions but some of them from an unexpected source, There was plenty of humanitarian concern too. So quite accurate I would say!

Reading No 4
This is a reading with a different intention.
My friend has just lost their job so I am asking how the future is going to go.
As usual I did a 3 card spread
The first card was 0 (tarot - The fool) New Beginnings
This is a lovely card. It shows a closed wooden door in front of which is a woman. She has gone down 3 steps and is about to step out off the third step into what looks like inner space. There is a vaporous cloud beneath her outstretched foot and beneath that is a view of the sunlit world as seen from space. There are stars and black space in the background. She is dressed in sandals, has a staff in her right hand which she is using as a walking stick. She also has a shoulder bag with a strap going across her body. She has a band around her forehead.
This comfortably dressed lady is stepping out on a very personal journey. The staff is her support and gives her strength in her bag she will have things that she has collected through her life which again will help her on her way.
This is a positive card that tells me my friend will look back at this time as a good thing because it enabled a change direction and a new start. I see great excitement here as well as a challenge.
The second card was 1 physical (1 of coins) Prosperity
This card shows a nut kernel in the ground from which a peach tree is growing. There are peaches and butterflies on the tree. Peaches are also falling from the sky. Behind the tree are the hands of two people coming from opposite sides of the card, one is on top of the other, face down on the soil.
This is really encouraging. Some 'seed' that my friend has sown is coming to fruition. The butterflies on the tree indicate some change or transformation so this links very well into the first card. The hands on the ground represent both my friends energy nurturing the tree but also someone elses energy. The peaches falling from the sky are signs of good things being attracted to this prosperous environment
The final card was 4 (Tarot the Emperor) Authority
This card shows a very powerful man with dark curly, short hair. There are a few laurel leaves on either side of his head. He is standing full square with his arms across his chest chin raised (the chin is surrounded by a close cropped Manfred Man type Beard) in a haughty manner. He looks very Roman with his purple cloak held on his shoulders by two gold brooches. Has a circle of gold light behind his head and there are two fluted columns one either side of him and behind him.
This card could have 2 meanings either
It could be that someone in authority is going to try and frustrate my friends progress. Looking at the card the columns are like goal posts and he is the impossibly wide goal keeper with dinner plate hands! As this is the number 4 card this obstruction will be in a practical, physical way.
Or
My friend is going to find a job where they will be in a position of authority. This could be a warning to use their power wisely so that others can prosper and grow under their guidance.
We will have to see how my friend goes on!

Reading no5
A different question again today.
I was asked to test something and give my opinion. I found this quite difficult to do and was trying not to be biased.
I drew three cards .
The first card was 9 Solitude (Tarot Hermit)
An interesting card which shows a kneeling woman, she is kneeling on what appears to be sand. She is wearing an indigo dress. On her outstretched palms is a large book with writing on one page but not the other. Behind her is a column or a tower this could be a a relic of some ancient temple, it has a blue light shining out of the top. in the back ground is a range of mountains. The sun is setting behind the mountains and the evening star is all on it's own in the sky. There is no sign of plant life in the picture.
This card tells me that although I am on my own for this one. I have my intuition (indigo dress) to use and also the book of knowledge in my hands. This is still in the process of being written and what comes next is up to me. There is some ancient wisdom to call upon (the tower) and the universe is also there to help (evening star). It may feel as though there is a mountain to climb but the sun is just over the ridge
The second card was 15 Temptation (Tarot The Devil)
A strange card. This shows the torso of a bald muscular man There is what appears to be long curling strands of hair which look like hands or hooks that he is either escaping from or he is being pulled down by. His left hand is over his solar plexus where The skin has a key hole marked on it. His right hand out stretched towards a bright silver disc which looks like a shooting star but is also the top of an old fashioned key. His head is looking in two directions towards the key and out of the card at you but there is a lot of movement here as though his head is moving back and forth very quickly. The back ground to this card is a glowing red.
The key hole in the chest refers to the key in the background and the shooting star is the universe. That is what he should be reaching for. That would give him the strength he needs. But like Samson he has lost his hair and is showing weakness by looking away and being tempted by something in the physical world indicated by red.
This tells me that I have to be absolutely honest in my opinion and not be tempted just to give the opinion I think the others want to hear.
The final card was the Solar Plexus chakra card
The solar plexus carries on the meaning from the last card and is all about fear. I must not be afraid of the outcome.
Well that seems fairly straight forward.
On with the opinion then!

Just had time to draw one card today as I spent rather a long time on the monthly reading
It was Triumphant success (1 of swords)
This shows a hand coming out of the ground with a bright shiny sword pointing skywards. Not too ambiguous then! Sounds as though I had better get to my next job whilst the going is good!

Reading no 7
I am learning a new 5 card spread and have done several test readings that seem to be quite accurate.
In view of the current economic crisis I decided to ask the question. Is my future going to be financially secure?
The first card is the nature of the question
12 Sacrifice (tarot =The hanged man)
This card shows the picture of a beautiful, dark haired, strong woman rising out of murky brown waters. She is wearing a white dress and has her arms raised above and behind her head with the palms pressed together She is arched backwards and is following the curve of the rainbow which lights up the flower in her hair in spectrum colours. Around her arms is twisted a white wrap the ends of this wrap has leaf shaped holes in it and the leaf shaped pieces of fabric are falling into the water. The clouds are shaped like white blossoms.
This card speaks of change and transformation - the white dress coming out of the murky water. This is why I am asking the question I am afraid of a change in circumstances for the worse.
You will have to use your intuition (the rainbow flower) to help you through a situation that you may feel you can't control. Fear stops me using my intuition effectively and the situation feels definitely out of my control
I am the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow but I may need some patience as it may take a little time to get to my goal.
OK
The second card is the reason for the question
8 Mental - Trapped on fear (8 of swords)
This shows a person sitting in a cage like structure head on hand, head down. The light is shining down from the top left hand corner. In that corner the cage becomes gold.
This is a cage of my own making and is impeding my progress. The ruling 8 is very much out of control and outside influences are having this effect. I have to learn that If I face my fears and use my mental strength to control my fears things will be a lot better.
I had better stop listening to the news!
The third card is contributing factors or additional information to be considered.
This is the sacral Chakra card and has the words "I Want"
This card relates to emotions, desires, creativity and sexuality.
So in a way this card repeats the former and I must take real note of my emotions!
Card 4 is the answer to the question or advice
Card 21 The universe (tarot = the world)
This shows a swirling galaxy with a face staring out of the centre and is the image on the front of the box.
This means that the power of the universe is with you and will help you. A very strong card and always good to have in a draw!
Card 5 is The outcome
Card 7 mental Deception and envy (tarot = 7 Swords)
This card shows a man dressed in a bright green tunic with 3 gold vertical wavy lines decorating the front. This man wears a winged mask which he is lifting up to reveal his face. He stands against a green background.
Someone may be going to deceive me. The mask points to someone hiding their true self but the wings on the mask may indicate that they are prepared to do this so they can fly ahead. The curvy lines on the chest of the tunic indicate that they are not speaking straight from the heart but prepared to bend the truth to get what they want. This card also speaks of change and being prepared for things to be not quite as they seem or as expected - I may need to work on a plan B.
Seven is the number of 'Life Lessons' as regards, health, money, possessions and love
The indigo border indicates that using your intuition in this situation will be our best guide to deal with this situation.
Seems as though even with the universe on my side I am going to have to learn my life lesson, not be fearful, don't believe what the media are saying and rely on m own powers of perception and intuition to see me through.
Not an conclusive reading. But nice to now that the universe is on my side!

Re: More Daily Readings from John Holland's Psychic Tarot
Hi Sally,
I've never tried the Star Spread with Tarot or with a Tarot inspired oracle, and I'm happy to see that it works so well with the Psychic Tarot Oracle!
The Universe (Tarot World) is an excellent card to get in the answer position! I'd agree that you are definitely being supported by an abundant and loving Universe!
I'm with wood, I don't have this deck either (it is on my wish list though), but I'm enjoying your practice readings and insights with this deck!

Thank you!
Thank you both of you for your replies! I am enjoying this deck of cards so much and will carry on posting readings as I am still learning the meanings of the cards - it could take a while
!
Thanks Kaph - I didn't know it was called the 'star' spread - makes sense though! I saw someone had used it on the monthly reading circle. I didn't know whether it would work with these cards either but after testing it out it seems to.
I hope the cards make it off your wish list at some stage!

No 8
I am using a star spread of five cards once more.
With the Easter bank holiday weekend coming up, and 4 days off work (yeah!) the weather forecast, as usual is dismal (last weekend of course was beautiful) The question this time was -Is this going to be a good weekend to get all the things I had planned to do, done and will I get what I need? (some rest, some play, some family time)
Card no1 - the nature of the question
4 Mental - (tarot = 4 swords) Rest and Recuperation
Well this is very apt!
This card has an indigo border (third eye/intuition) and shows a man sitting cross legged head bowed, hands turned palm upwards as though receiving energy. He is sitting on a green forest floor surrounded by trees.
This card implies that a period of rest, rejuvenation and recuperation is in order (definitely true!) and in fact is overdue. Time alone to meditate or reflect on how things are going, time to stand back and look at the situation instead of being in it. Being able to have a good look at the situation, change what needs to be changed and appreciate all the good things in my life, will provide a good basis for moving forward with renewed energy.
How true!! I have been over stretched and over stressed at work for a long time.
Card no2 - The reason for the question
6 spiritual (tarot = 6 wands) Victory and Success
This shows a young man at the edge of a summit of rock. He has a heralds trumpet to his lips and is blowing a triumphant blast. The trumpet has an orange and red pennant hanging from it which is being swirled by the breeze. The stormy sky behind him is transformed in the top left corner where the sunlight has broken through the cloud in the direction that the trumpet is pointing. The light is dazzling bright.
6 is the number of creativity, worry and also the number of making sure to get enough sleep. This card indicates what I want to happen and that good news is on the way. It indicates, completion, victory and success, often following a difficult period. I have to remember to stay grounded though (red and orange banner), I have to use my success to remind me that If I have come through this then I can achieve anything. Another positive card!
Card no3 - Contributing factor or additional information to be considered.
8 spiritual (tarot = 8 wands) Accelerated Motion
This card shows a dark haired woman looking up int a night sky full of stars. There are dark mountains around her. Speeding across the sky is a very bright golden comet. The light from this comet lights up her face.
This card speaks of change, hope, passion and an end to delays. I am heading towards my goals and desires but (unexpectedly) I may have to be prepared to get what I want. Although my energy is high and the time is right I may need to find out if there is anything else I need to do to enable the right outcome. I need to look after myself healthwise as this may be a tough ride. - the comet.
This is interesting. Tells me I need to prepare for the time off so I get what I need and plan my rest time too! I detect a little opposition at the end - I am forewarned
No 8 is the number of control. Preparation means I take control of the situation. But as the number of the control freak I shall have to guard against being too rigid or extreme!
Card no 5 Answer to the question or advice
5 Physical - (tarot = Financial and Material Changes
This complex card shows a right hand and wrist. The hand is palm down and the fingers are spread out. The picture is divided unequally into 4 with the lines above the hand and start parallel at the wrist but fan out at the fingers. Beneath the hand the the lines have divided the back ground into 4 different textures and colours.
Under the thumb goes from yellow green at the wrist to blue green at the top of the card and the texture looks like rough concrete surface.
Under the first and most of the second finger the colour goes from orange at the wrist to red at the finger tips and the texture is of stone blocks
Under the base of the second finger and all of the third finger the colour is purple and looks like velvet with a damask pattern on it
Under the little finger the color goes from yellow green at the wrist to indigo at the finger tip the texture looks like ornate metal work.
The second finger wears a gold ring with a green cabochon stone set in it. The third finger wears a silver coloured band with a small yellow stone set to one side.
This card can represent changes, challenges and losses - usually related to financial or material concerns. However, even if there are material losses I must remember that I have incredible resources as spiritual being. These inner resources will help me through this time.
This card also tells me that everything changes for a reason and this change is not intended to be a punishment and my current condition will transform for the better. I need to look at this situation as something to learn from so that I can avoid it in the future.
The splayed hand points to the fact that I control what happens to me. The colours relate to all the chakras which are my spiritual balance. Whilst I have a hand in this world I must not forget the inner world. The number 5 is the number of love the energy flows through this card.
Hmm quite a deep card and the change and lesson I must learn is how to accomplish the work I need to do and not be over stressed vs financial concerns.
Card no5 - Outcome
4 spiritual (tarot = 4 Wands) Foundation and Acheivements
This card shows a medieval one child family looking at their (new?) thatched /timbered home which has a rainbow over the top.
This card says I have practically (number 4) achieved a goal (house and rainbow). All the things that I have been putting in place have given me the firm foundation I need to reap the rewards of my efforts. The universe (violet border to the card) is ready to bring me the reward for all my hard work. There has to be balance between giving and receiving and now is the time for a bit of catch up. I need to be open to receiving, the gratitude that this will inspire will in turn attract more good things.
This is also a time to recharge the batteries and relax. However the world does not stand still and it won't be long before there is another change! This could be in my spiritual, personal or business life and the cycle will begin again.
What an interesting reading! It seems am going to get my R&R but this is also a time for reflection and to consider changes, life direction and purpose. However I get the message that careful preparation will be important to get the outcome that I want and need. The other message loud and clear is change and more change. I shall be out of my comfort zone a great deal then!!
Sally

Easter Weekend
Well the reading certainly prepared me for the weekend. After a dismal first day where a lot of talking and sorting out was done inspiring the changes that were forecast. The weather suddenly changed the next day and was absolutely gorgeous for the rest of the weekend. I had a thoroughly good rest and found it hard to get going again when I got back to work!
The changes spoken of in the last reading were waiting for me when I got home An elderly relative who has been getting on with life very well, suddenly, over the weekend is in the situation of needing some sort of care. I now have decisions to make on their behalf and I am finding that a little difficult.
I decided to do a star draw for a little guidance.
Card 1 - The nature of the question
2 spiritual - The waiting game (tarot 2 of wands)
This card shows a giant golden hour glass. There is an hour glass shaped tree growing inside the glass. The roots are spread out in the sand in the bottom half and the trunk goes up the centre into the top half of the glass where the branches are which have some green leaves on them. Sand is flowing in a steady stream from the very top of the glass and there is a purple light shining out of the bottom suggesting that the sand is constantly filling and emptying.
Around the outside of the glass are 9 gold rings 8 of the rings are on the same plane (like a circular running track) the outer larger ring is at a raised angle. On the right and behind the glass stands a man looking dejected.
Well this could apply to my elderly relative who is inevitably playing the long 'waiting game', or me who has been waiting for something like this to happen.
From my point of view this card indicates that I've set things in motion in certain areas and now I am waiting for the results to come to fruition (tree in leaf). The number two is all about choice, decision, sensitivity and feelings.
In the past I have been afraid to make choices or decisions, but now I am no longer fearful or constrained by old beliefs (dejected man). I must expect the best and be open to the limitless power of my intuition (purple border, eternal flowing sand) which at present is very strong - trust and use its assistance.
Success and achievement are assured but once achieved I mustn't let it change me- I must remember who I am, the effort it took to get to this point and the gratitude I need to show to the people who have helped me (the gold rings- what goes around comes around). This is a soul journey.
Well that is pretty accurate. I find I am having to get my courage out to do what must be done.
Card 2 - The reason of the question
7 Spiritual - Stand your ground (Tarot -7 of wands)
This card shows a silhouette of a warrior standing on multicoloured grass. His left hand is on his hip and his right hand is raised in triumph. He is holding his spear high in his right hand. Facing his is a vast orange /red planet with a bright golden ring around it's edge.
This card points to me being challenged or tested in my personal life. It speaks of competition, but I have enormous inner strength (the warrior) and I can overcome all of this if I stick to your inner life values and spiritual beliefs that are my inner strength. I must not give my control away to others and stay focused. It is also important to look after my health and nurture yourself as the battle ahead may be taxing, but there is victory in the end.
Hmmm this sounds as though I am going to meet some resistance to my suggestion of help. Oh well I thought that would be the case.
Card 3 Contributing factor or additional information to be considered.
3 Mental - Heartache and Loss ( tarot 3 of Swords)
This darkish card shows a woman in an hourglass shaped long dress of dark blue. The hem of the dress is spread out in a circle on the floor. There is a split part way up the front revealing a dark red under dress. She has her arms down in front of her palms pressed together. The shape that her arms, hands and neckline of her dress form is a heart. Above the hands there is a deep red heart forming the laced belt of her dress. this heart radiates red light out to either side. The woman has her head bowed her long red hair is half covering her face. Around her neck she wears a gold pendant in the shape of a sword that points directly at the two heart shapes. Behind her head ia a shield shaped window showing blue sky and clouds.
This is a very sad looking card the sword is a symbol of the the stabbing pain that heartache causes. The red underdress is a symbol of the base chakra which is all about the tribe and the earth. The meaning of this card revolves around disappointment, sorrow and separation which can cause upheaval and distress. It will take all the strength I have at the moment to move past the pain and heal my heart. The love that I have given to another needs be focused on me. Although this card seems to be negative, it can act as a tremendous catalyst helping me to move on.
The painful experiences of life are just as valuable as the joyous ones. I may not appreciate the sentiment at this challenging time, but life does have a way of pushing forward even though I may not know the final destination. I must try not to dwell on the past, but use my strong mental control to deal with my emotions. I have to believe I will get through this.
Oh dear.............. I have the feeling that this is preparation for the inevitable. Two other relatives had a similar dream on the same night that showed this elderly relative had died. OK well I know what I have to do then. More challenges and changes.
Card 4 the answer to the question or advice
4 spiritual Foundation and Achievements (tarot - 4 of wands)
This card shows a medieval one child family looking at their (new?) thatched /timbered home which has a rainbow over the top.
I have practically (number 4) achieved a goal (house and rainbow). All the things that I have been putting in place have given me the firm foundation I need to reap the rewards of all my efforts. This is also a time to recharge the batteries and relax. However the world does not stand still and it won't be long before there is another change! This could be in your spiritual, personal or business life and the cycle will begin again.
So this card shows up again! It was my Easter card too. More change on the way, but also a sense of a goal being reached. This could be ambiguous and be my relative also.
Card 5 The outcome
card 5 Wisdom (tarot Major arcana Heirophant)
This card shows a monk like figure looking back at a timbered, thatched house (similar to foundations and achievements) the family are standing at the door facing the monk but they and the house are in the shade. The monk is on the path leading from the house. The sun is setting to the left of the monk. He is holding a red bound book on his left arm which is glowing with light. On the road in front of him is a small white scottie dog. The dog has paused mid stride to turn and look at the monk.
This card tells me that something is being left behind and it is time to move on. The book of knowledge is waiting to be opened and used. The dog symbolises, intuition, loyalty (man's best friend), generosity, protection, and fidelity. Strong values and good intentions will enable me to go forward in the world and bring success. Alternatively, it could indicate a skill that I have ignored or forgotten.
When the student is ready the teacher will appear. This card may indicate that there is a spiritual teacher in my life who's about to step into or influence my life to impart their wisdom.
Equally I may also have drawn this card to confirm that it’s time to reach out and find and organisation or group of like minded souls. Being part of a group where you can be yourself, share your thoughts and get valuable feedback can infuse you and encourage you to be all that you can be. Kindred spirits.
Could that be this forum I wonder??
Right so I have to be prepared for the worse, strong enough to stand up to the objections of help and gather allthe goodwill I will find to feed my own energy / love stores.
This is going to be a difficult time, but at least I have had some warning.

Re: More Daily Readings from John Holland's Psychic Tarot
Always best to be prepared!
_____________
They say that even a blind pig can find an acorn once in awhile! Could someone help me look, I keep running into this tree.
Sometimes I can't even find the tree for the wood.
one card draw
Well prepared for what might happen, I went to visit my elderly relative and the first part about meeting resistance was certainly true. However I managed to get them to think about having extra help. I am not yet defeated!
I decided to just draw one card about the weekend ahead. I have to attend a course and am not too happy about giving up my weekend. I shuffled the deck and and drew the card 'Power'. I was so surprised that Iput it back in the deck and re shuffled and out came the same card!
So 'Power' it is then( Tarot major arcana strength).
This card has a red background which shades to purple halfway across. he picture is of the head and shoulders of a split face. On the left hand side the picture is of a white haired man, the long hair is below his shoulders. He has a neatly trimmed white beard and wears a bronze band around his forehead. He wears a cloak that has a rich edging and a bronze clasp. His eye is half closed as though he is looking straight through you. The right hand side of the face is the half face of a lion with full mane and a stern blue eye looking directly at you.
There is no doubt about the strength of this picture and it has a certain fascination being so peculiar. Your eyes cannot decide which side to look at first. Though on balance the lions face is the stronger of the two.
The background has the colour red which is the base chakra, grounding and is about tribal belonging. The violet is the crown chakra which points to universal energy feedng the lion heart within.
This card represents inner strength, willpower, courage, compassion, generosity and love. At any moment, these beautiful qualities can assist in coping with an adverse condition in life. Set aside the necessary time to resolve such issues. Power represents much more than physical external strength. It can also be channeled emotionally, mentally and spiritually. When you have balance over body mind and soul - and with the power of spirit- anything can be overcome to achieve a positive result.
Power and strength can be developed to work in harmony in any given situation. Every obstacle, every error can help to build knowledge and understanding of the world. When mistakes are made it is a chance to stop, listen and ask ‘ what am I supposed to be learning here and how can I make this situation better?". Mistakes are great wake up calls in that provide an opportunity to discover weaknesses, what needs to be changed and what areas of life need improving. Equally they can be blessings in disguise.
What a positive card! Sounds as though this course might be better than I thought. Looks as though it also carries on from the previous reading.

Please don't feel forced to post just because I like reading them. Like I said before I don't have the cards but who knows, maybe someone else does or a new person might want to learn!
