Ok...... I think I tend to agree with you that the time cards should come up naturally within the draw. But 'nothing ventured nothing gained' I thought it was worth a try so........ here is an experiment draw that is quite interesting

I asked a similar question about this honeymoon deal and asked whether she was going to take the deal.

I took out the 'time cards'


Did a vital seven spread with the rest but left the 'time' card face down.


The past

The fool and Union

So the planned wedding is here (Union). The fool could be something silly going on and that could be the deal? Or could be that there has been a 'home truth' uttered from an unlikely source.


the Present

The father and The message

Someone older has some words of advice, someone who is teaching something. Or could it be that Dad is also footing some of the wedding bill that will determine how much is left for the honeymoon


The message could be the advice, or that she is at present waiting for an e-mail reply form the person who has made the offer of this deal, with some clarification.

The future

The scales and The stranger

Here are the scales again, trying to get things into balance. I am not sure where the stranger fits into this but maybe there is someone on the horizon who is about to affect the decision.

So I turned over the time card and it said NOW.


So the things that are influencing the decision are the fool, the father and the scales. which implies that the advice will affect her decision.

The things she has influence over are - union, the message, and the stranger. Well we know she is in charge of the wedding plans(!) but the message sounds as though it will cause her to choose and the stranger must be someone weak as she will influence them too!

The 'now' card implies that the decision is going to be made now, needs to be made now or something is going to happen now that will influence the decision one way or the other


So even with the separate time cards it seems that the universe is still keeping things under wraps! I will keep you posted on anything that happens.

I will keep going with the experiment I am not convinced either way!

Very interesting! I'm curious to learn how The Stranger fits in with this situation.

I like how these cards seem to leave the outcome in the hands of the querent-- which in my opinion is how it should be-- rather than indicating some pre-determined outcome that the querent has no control over. :cool:

Well the tree of knowledge versus truth /lies. This is always a dilemma - how do you know whether something is right / accurate or not?

So this relates to the question - how can I use the knowledge I have to know whether this is right?


Friendship - well that could be the forum -like minded people
Death - that signals both a walk into the unknown and change


In the future it looks as though I shall have to take each question on it's merits and balance.

The cave - I can't hide from this and fear is not an option.


So what is influencing me is knowledge, others opinions and trying to balance everything in my mind.


I have influence over what is true or not, whether I want to change and not to be fearful.

And what was the 'time' card? NOW again! so that is quite appropriate, as this is very much a question of what I am doing now.

So on balance I am going to keep my options open and see what happens.

I have done several draws with the time cards separate and I think on balance I prefer them to be in with all the other cards and to appear as and when.

This deck still gives the opportunity for a more definite answer to situations than the John Holland deck and I shall continue to use both.

I am going to a Tarot workshop in October and plan to take both decks with me. I have not been to one before so I am not sure what to expect! But it should be very interesting as I never really got on with traditional tarot......... I have a Marseilles deck somewhere.

Hi Sally,

I think it's a good call. It seems to me that allowing the timing cards to fall naturally in a spread would add to their significance in a reading. I've dug out my deck of Psycards, but I've not yet had a chance to play with them-- this weekend for sure!

Have fun at that Tarot workshop! I hope you'll let us know what you thought of the workshop, and whether or not it gets you hooked on reading Tarot.

I have been on a training programme recently which will change the sort of work I do and send me heading off in another direction.

I am looking for some reassurance from the cards that I am heading in the right direction and all my hard work will bring me some monetary reward!

This shows my journey through life which has brought me to this point of change. The Sun is a positive influence on what is happening now.

Father and The Fool

The father is someone who imparts knowledge and wisdom - the guy who led the course and influenced my ideas. The fool is a reflection of my own doubts - I do not want to follow blindly and hope I am not fooling myself.


The future

The skills and Money


Gosh! I could not have wished for better cards. This shows me that I am going to learn the skills I need to make this change and all my careful preparation will reap the rewards I need.



The things influencing me are

My life path, the knowledge I have gained and the skills I have been learning.

The things that I have influence over are how I feel about things, my doubts and the care with which I nurture this new direction in my life so that I get the rewards I am seeking.

No doubt about that then........... Onward and Upward!

Somehow I'm not at all surprised.

Outstanding reading! I think the message is very clear that this new direction will pay off not only monetarily, but also in terms of career development!
