The Cartouche Oracle

Anybody familiar with the Cartouche Oracle Cards by Murry Hope?

I've heard other readers rave about how accurate the Cartouche Orace Cards are. Apparently, the archetypal symbols were taken directly from the monuments in Ancient Egypt, and the cards can be used for divination, meditation, healing and as magical talismans.

There are also Cartouche initiations and attunements available as a healing modality-- generally as a part of Seichem or Reiki training. There are 25 separate initiations (one per card) for learning to channel the energies of each of the archetypes. Apparently these initiations bring healing, enhanced intuition, and deep personal transformations.

I'm suddenly fascinated by these cards-- anybody notice how when it comes to oracles I'm like a toddler with a short attention span, always looking for something new to play with?

I'm really drawn to this deck--like a moth to a flame (I hope I don't end getting my wings burned off!

I had a weird synchronicity earlier when a client asked me if I'd heard of the Cartouche Cards. She said she had gotten a Cartouche reading, and the same thing came up that I saw in the playing cards. I've never had a client mention them before.

I took that as a sign from the divination gods that I need to be working with this deck. So even though I've been sworn off purchasing any new decks, I went ahead and ordered this one today.

I found that the original book and deck set is no longer in print, but the deck is still available with an instruction booklet at Ostaris Publications.

I'll let you know what I think of it when it arrives!

When I get my cards, I plan to offer some Cartouche readings for feedback in the Reading Swaps forum. It will be fun to see if these cards are as accurate as everyone who has experienced them seems to think!

While anxiously awaiting the arrival of my deck-- which I'm sure is delayed due to the US holiday, I've been searching for information about the Cartouche cards. I stumbled on a blog dedicated to radionic devices, and the author shares some interesting experiences he has had with the Cartouche Oracle.

The author suggests that the Cartouche symbols are ancient radionic devices because they "enter your subconscious mind and open an access panel for the information about persons, places or things that have been, are, or will be in the future."

This idea makes sense to me since the cards have been created and designed to be used as magical talismans right from the box.

For example, if you want to attract a romantic partner, you meditate on the Cartouche card The Twins, and carry the card around in your wallet or purse. The card's energy is supposed to alter the energies in your aura to make you more magnetic for attracting the right person into your life.

I received my Cartouche Oracle Cards, and I absolutely love them! They are very different from any oracle deck I've used in the past. I generally don't like using reversals, but since there are only 25 cards in this deck, reversals are necessary in order to cover all of the possibilities in a reading. These cards do remind me of the Runes-- in fact there is a section in the book where Rune correspondences are given for each Cartouche Card.

I've done a few practice readings on myself, family and friends, and so far I'm very impressed by how accurate these cards can be!
