Kapherus's 5 card pages of a book spread

Post  Contessa on Thu Sep 25, 2008 8:54 am

OK - I tried this and I think a big part of the problem is that I am so new to this deck!

I drew:

The Little fool - Yellow - Card of experience
The Big Wish - card of fullfillment
Cancer -Mother and home, June 20 to July 20
The Candle - card of light
Taurus Slowly moving forward, April 20 to May 20

To me it looks like a wish will be granted, but I am not 100% certain on the two timing cards or the significance of the candle...

I can't wait until I have a lightbulb moment with these cards. I kind of connect with them, but not like I have been with my Lenormand... Andy suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Contessa,

Candle one of (what I like to call) the psychic doorways of Shustah. In and of itself, it represents 'wisdom, inspiration, knowledge, understanding, etc.' I call this card one of the 'psychic doorways' because it can appear to change right before your eyes, and your perception of the card in that moment will reveal it's meaning in the spread.

For example, Candle is a timing card. You can gauge the passage of time for a prediction by how far the Candle appears to have burned down. The further the Candle is burned down, the closer you are to whatever is depicted in the surrounding cards.

Candle can also refer to 'a burning desire.' It can represent 'a wise decision' (if the flame appears bright and strong) or it can denote 'indecision' if the Candle appears to flicker, and if the Candle goes out it can indicate 'an ending.'

The Black suit can be used as timing cards, but most often they represent the people in your life, or the qualities associated with the zodiac signs they represent.

Cancer nurtures and protects. Sometimes it can indicate a sense of nostalgia, and being caught up in past emotions. Most often it represents a fluctuation situation that is stable for the moment. Of course Cancer can also represent one's mother or a motherly influence, and the safety and security of one's home. It can represent caring for someone-- a child, someone who is ill or disabled, etc.

Taurus can show slow but persistent progress, but it can also indicate holding on to something too tightly.

The combination of Yellow Fool and Big Wish can represent a self-indulgent wish, or it can show a desire for freedom from a pressing burden or responsibility.

Okay, here's the most obvious interp based on the meanings I explored above-- without knowing your question (if you even had one).

You're feeling burdened or weighed down by certain responsibilities, and you desire more freedom. This is an emotional situation that probably deals with child(ren), family, home (Cancer). Wisdom is needed for a decision that must be made regarding this situation (Candle), and you seem to be dragging your feet a bit (Taurus).

Any impressions you get while meditation on The Candle will provide more specific information regarding the decision that is needed.

Hope this all helps,
Kaph
