Occult Cross Spread

Hi Kaph!
In the middle of my November spread of the 12 houses, I did the Occult Cross spread;
Horizontal: Lord of Authority
handle the situation: Coins
above: The Treasure
below: Spying Page
left: Noisy seabird
right: Scorpio

Is the summation about a possible teaching job?
I will have to be "bossy" again in the classroom.
I'm only doing it for the money.
I have to use my talents to do this.
I will have to keep a close eye on the students.
Talk, talk, talk to the students.
It will happen by Nov. 20th.

In the 10th House I drew:
Aries, Aquarius, and the Stars.

What do you think Kapherus?

Hi Diane,

I'd say you're right on track with your interpretations...

The 10th House relates to business and career, and Aries shows that you'll be putting a lot of energy into this area of your life this month. Aries also brings something new, so don't be afraid to think outside the box. There could be an opportunity for you that is different from what you've done in the past, but still utilizes all of your knowledge and skills.

Aquarius brings sudden changes, and in the 10th house it indicates a change of jobs. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus which often brings something unusual or unique into the picture. So the idea of something different or new is also confirmed by this card.

The Stars refer to success in business matters usually because the career is in alignment with one's "perfect pattern" or soul blueprint.

These cards show indicate that you'll start a new job or career this month, and you'll be successful! Keep in mind that the Aquarius energy can be a little tricky. Sometimes the changes this card brings may not seem as positive as you may have expected at first, but then a sudden shift brings you into perfect alignment with your goals.

Thanks Kaph! Your knowledge amazes me! In the 12th house (Adversity and Enemies) I drew Red 10 Sacred Mushroom, Destiny, Blue 2 Child and Puppy.
Does this mean that the students will be a huge challenge? One of my fears is that when I go back to teaching in the middle of a semester like this, I will get the classroom that nobody wants in the abyss of Los Angeles. That could be quite a challenge. In the Occult Cross Spread, Scorpio was the outcome. Does that mean by Nov. 20th I will have the job?

Hi Diane,

It might help to keep in mind that the 12th house represents not only 'adversity and enemies,' but it can also show influences in the formative stage that will soon appear in the first house. In other words, if the timing of your spread is for 1 month, what shows up in the 12 house for November, could be what will enter the 1st house in December.

The Sacred Mushroom is a teacher card, so your 12th house shows that teaching and working with children is part of your destiny. The Sacred Mushroom also refers to difficult confrontations, and Destiny refers to the emotions, so it could definitely show some challenges next month with a children. But the Red 10 doesn't always indicate an angry confrontation-- it could also represent your power and influence in to bring positive change to these children. Also, Destiny in the 12th house advised to pay close attention to the messages in your dreams.

Yes, Scorpio can be read as a time card. As an outcome card, Scorpio indicates success through careful planning. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, and Pluto likes to evaluate every angle before taking action. Scorpio is a survivor and will always win in the end. Often, the cost isn't even a consideration. So just be sure that you aren't sacrificing too much to get what you want.

Thanks Kaph for the info! I have so much to learn. Concerning my November reading, instead of giving you one House at a time, I'll share it all at once. You've been doing this for so long, I know it won't be overwhelming for you. It is still overwhelming for me because I am so green. Do you think you will ever write a handbook on the Shustah cards? I hope so! Anyway... below is my reading for November. I will give my interpretation and then would you please fill in with the things i missed or misunderstood about the cards or houses?

1st House - Self
Swamp - Blue 4 I feel like I'm in a swamp right now! I truly do! I don't know which step to take or in which direction.
The Big Wish - Blue 9 Constructive planning, practical planning... What is desired most is granted. I am wishing for a teaching job only because of the money. I have taught 23 1/2 years and I'm tired of teaching. I would like to teach spiritual things but not education. I don't know how to make the transition.
Sagitarius - Black 9 Which has the spiritual value of teacher. 9 is also the house of education and ability.

2nd House - Money
Angel of Spring Green 13 I do feel expectation, because I need it! Sprouting seeds.
SELF Black 14 I do know this House is important to me right now.
Lord of Contemplation Green 14 Responsibility of desire and motivation. Here is the rub. I don't have any motivation to teach except for the money. We are not supposed to do anything just for the money.

3rd House - Travel and Talents (this House is not important to me right now)

I did hear from my song co-writer in Nashville that he is going to pitch our song again to Reba. She will be cutting an album in February.

Legal Papers - Green 10 Written work. Business Affairs.
The Whip - Red 7 Discipline. My husband works out of home and is easily distracted. He needs discipline.

5th House - Love / Use Talents
The Serpent - Red 8 A continuing effort toward a goal.
The Fishes - Blue 3 Brief period of good luck.
The Diamond - Blue 5 The light of understanding.
I'm going to a writing seminar this month... maybe some connections will be made?

6th House - Health / Day to day
Leo - Black 5
Pisces - Black 12
The Little Fool - Yellow 4
A friend of mine who is a Leo will be staying with us because she doesn't have a place to live. It will be tight with all of us sharing one bathroom.

7th House - Marriage / Contracts
Virgo - Black 6 (The sixth house is Health)
Pale Horse - Red 12
The Strange Page - Yellow 11 A strange guest.
Could this be the friend living with us and having an affect on my marriage?

8th House - Gifts in the House of Death / Sex
Pregnant Mouse - Green 6 Lack of energy and direction
Closed Gate - Red 6 Unfulfilled desire.
The Path - Green 4 Enthusiasm that is not sustained for long.
I'm not sure about this House. This could be describing our sex life. (Ha! Ha!) Is this the House that show's where your spouse is at financially?

9th House - Education and Ability
The Butterflies - Yellow 3 Brief Happiness
The Unicorn - Green 3 Uncontrolled Force
The Totem - Blue 1 Tribe
If I get hired for teaching... there will be brief happiness before "reality" sets in and I'm one of the group.

10th House - Business/Career
Aries
Aquarius
Stars
We've already gone over this house the other day when you helped me with interpretation.

11th House - Wishes and Friends
The Return Road - Blue 7 My friend will be staying with us once again.
Celestial Bees - Blue 8 She and I will be busy doing things.
Magical Horse - Green 12 Physical speed.

12th House - Adversity and Enemies
The Sacred Mushroom - Red 10
Destiny - Black 13
The Child and the Puppy - Blue 2

Kaph - you have already helped me with this House by telling me it could be manifesting into the 1st House for next month.
When a Black card is in a House, is it the personality? the time? or the House of that card? Or do you just use your intuition?
