Shustah Confusion

Hi Kapherus or anyone interested,

Would like to learn more about this oracle. I have the book, but to be honest I never found it to be very clear with the card meanings. There seems to be several layers of interpretation and I have a harder time understanding this system. Are you able to post some basic meanings and guide lines for using these cards? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Daniel,

The Pages of Shustah book can be confusion because Shustah is complex system that can be interpreted on multiple levels. For this reason, you're probably not going to be able to find a simple list of meanings posted anywhere.

The type of question or concern you're inquiring about will usually help determine which level of interpretation is most appropriate. For example, for practical issues, the "Egoic Response" would best apply. For an emotional issue, you would look to the "Quality of Power," whereas if the issue is a mental one, the "Type of Intelligence" associated with the card might be more appropriate. The "Spiritual Virtue" can be used for question of a spiritual nature.

The Rev Ken Foor at Daily Readings and Meditations posts daily Shustah cards with interpretations from a Christian perspective, which you might find helpful.

I started a blog dedicated to Shustah called Shustah Wisdom where you can find a few posts on practical mundane meanings for the cards with a metaphysical slant. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to post anything lately, but I do plan to continue adding to the blog soon.

The Pages of Shustah were specifically designed to trigger your intuition and open you up to the messages from your High Self. So although it can be inspiration to read how others interpret the cards, your own personal interpretations will serve you best.
