Shustah Daily Draws

Post  Kapherus on Fri Sep 19, 2008 8:45 am

It's been a long while since I pulled a daily draw from Pages of Shustah, so today I decided to dig out my deck and draw three cards...

  • Blue 7 - The Return Road
  • Green 2 - The Guardian Dog
  • Yellow 11 - The Strange Page

This is a very straightforward combination....

The Blue Road is a card of travel (it can also represent the need for decisions, but when coupled with the Yellow Page, it almost always means a trip and a visit).

The Green Dog is a good friend. Someone I trust and have faith in.

The Yellow Page indicates an unexpected guest, or someone (or something) totally new and unexpected entering the querent's life.

My first impression of these cards is that a good friend from afar will travel to pay me an unexpected visit. I have no foreknowledge of anyone coming to visit, so this will certainly be unexpected for sure!

The Return Road always includes a return trip, so this would be a visit, and not a relocation for this friend.

The row ends in yellow indicating that the visit, although unexpected, will be welcomed!

3 card draw

Hi Kapherus!
Here is another interpretation that came to me. Could this be a possibility as well?

Blue 7 The Return Road Spiritual Acceptance of a new thought.

Today you helped someone raise their consciousness by sharing your wisdom and knowledge.

Green 2 The Guardian Dog Emotional Stability

This person felt emotional stability within him/her self after hearing your comforting words.

Yellow 11 The Strange Page Become aware of an inner communication.

You shared knowledge with this person about an inner way of communicating with their higher self or the "other side"

What cha think Kapherus?

Hi Diane,

Yes, it is possible to interpret Pages of Shustah on a purely spiritual level-- as well as a purely intellectual level, and of course a practical level, which is what makes this oracle so unique.

Your interpretation definitely makes sense!

I always tend to look for the practical, mundane meaning first (unless I'm specifically addressing a spiritual question) since that's what most clients are looking for.

I'm still waiting for my mundane prediction to manifest. I promise to post feedback when it does.

I love you K

mundane vs spiritual virtue

Post  Diane on Wed Sep 24, 2008 10:50 am

Hi Kapherus!
You are such a spiritually enlightened soul. I would think these special cards would speak at a spiritual level all the time to you except when you ask a specific mundane question.
And... is it possible to ask a mundane question and get a spiritual answer?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to learn.

Hi Diane,

Nah, when it comes to reading cards, I'm all about getting practical answers. Although I think my readings tend to be a mixture of the practical and the spiritual (and the psychological) when appropriate. But I always try to help the client apply a practical solution to their problem before I explore the spiritual reasons for the mess they're in. Wink

No need to apologize, I'm happy to answer your questions if can.

Yes, it is possible to get a spiritual answer to a mundane question (and vice versa), but you would need to be careful that your spiritual interpretation answers the mundane question.

A spread may have several logical interpretations, but in response to a specific question, only one or two of those interps would be valid in terms of answering the question. You just want to be sure to stay on track, when you shift the focus of a reading.

Hope this answers your question,
Kaph

Re: Shustah Daily Draws

This morning I decided to try Diane's method of drawing 3 cards to represent the 3 parts of my day-- morning, day, and evening...

For the morning, I drew Yellow 7 The Treasure:

The Treasure represents a gift. It can be a material gift such as money, or it can be a spiritual gift such as inspiration or divine guidance. This morning I need to open myself up to receive whatever bounty is coming my way from an abundant Universe.

For the day, I drew Yellow 8 The Gnomes:

Ah! Another yellow card. The yellow cards represent creativity, gain and spiritual awareness. The Gnomes specifically represent gain through effort. It looks to be a very busy, productive day in which I'll be able to utilize my gifts from the morning to in a creative or spiritual way. It seems I'll feel inspired to get some writing done on a spiritual project I'm working on.

For the evening, I drew Red 14 The Lord of Authority:

Ouch... from double yellow to red is a bit of a crash! My evening looks to be a little trying. I'm going to have to release my need to control a situation, and allow the energies to work themselves out naturally. This card can sometimes indicate a time of sacrifice or compromise when submission to someone else's will is the best course of action. It's important to maintain a respectful attitude when this card darkens your door.

In a practical sense, I read this card as the police-- or really any person or body of persons who have authority over me, and provide safety and security.

In a spiritual sense, this card represents the High Self (all of the Lords represent the High Self-- as all of the Pages represent the lower self in its various aspects). The Lord of Authority can indicate that the personality's plan is not necessarily in alignment with the divine plan, and havoc can result when the personality refuses to submit to the High Self. The lesson in this card is that grace comes from accepting the wisdom and guidance of a higher power.

It will be interesting to see how this cards play out this evening.
