Yellow 11 - The Strange Page

I'm in a Shustah mood today, so I thought I'd post a little bit about one of my favorite cards to perhaps intiate a discussion:



Yellow 11 - The Strange Page

Description:

Yellow 11 depicts a renaissance page dressed in tunic and tights with one foot on the front door stoop. He is leaning over the doorstep, and knocking at the front door. The Strange Page wears a bellboy cap with chin strap, and both hands are rolled into fists or blocked from view.

Symbolism:

• Door: represents receptiveness, and a willingness to accept new ideas and unexpected circumstances.
  
• Knocking: heralds a new opportunity.
  
• Bellboy Cap: reminiscent of the hats worn by messenger boys during the first half of the 20th Century.
  
• Hidden hands: Something hidden or unrevealed.

How to Read The Strange Page:

Yellow 11 represents the unknown. Something new and unexpected is about to enter the individual’s life. The Strange Page can denote a new emotional contact, or an unexpected visitor. New opportunities and unexpected events occur wherever this card falls.

The Strange Page is also a messenger. He brings new information and new ideas. He can represent good or bad news depending on the surrounding cards.

Suggested Card Combinations with The Strange Page:

• With Green 10 (Legal Papers), he denotes that important legal papers, or a business contract, are on the way.
  
• With Blue 2 (The Child and the Puppy), this card can denote an unexpected pregnancy, or an unexpected new pet.
  
• With Yellow 7 (The Treasure), The Strange Page can represent an unexpected windfall.

On a spiritual level, Yellow 11 can denote an intuitive message or psychic image that should be heeded. This card can indicate contact with the inner planes.
