King of Hearts: Analae

I finished one!

Here for your viewing pleasure is my King of Hearts!

I really like it! The coloring is nice, and even the ermine looks real.

It is really nice, Analae... and yes, the colours are so good matched that the red comes out from the pale lilac...

Lovely Annalae.

I like the way that the multiple heart decoration at the front and sides reminds me of a clover leaf, the fourth 'leaf' is separate in the middle.

4 leaf clovers which bring good luck are notoriously difficult to find, which is a good analogy of true love - difficult to find but you just have to keep looking. There is the reminder - the single heart decoration between the 'clover leaves' - true love is found in the heart. You have to have love in your own heart to find it in others.

The heart on the top of the crown is decorated in such a way that it leads me to think that it was broken and has been put back together with love. The great healer.

I am not entirely satisfied with the way the background scanned and might try to blend it more if I have a chance. Otherwise I am satisfied with the card, even if it is a little lopsided

This is beautiful Analae! And please don't try to blend more. I love the texture in the background. That's why I prefer doing my art the old fashioned way rather than digital like my husband keeps nagging me to do.

Well I thought the background very appropriate - purple for the emperor personality although it is pale so not as dominant as say ......Napoleon!

But even kings can loose their hearts to love and your background makes it look as though the crown is falling through space the lines give an illusion of speed - this king has lost his heart to someone! Oh and crowns would not fall through the air in a straight line!
