The Card Back Design Contest

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CARD BACKS? (or, AND AS IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH, HOW ABOUT A CONTEST?)

This is how it works: Any member of the forum may submit a design for the official card back. Yep, we did say anyone. Whether you’re a designated artist or not! Entries must be received by August 30, 2009. All received entries for the card back will be posted to the forum on September 1, 2009, and voting will remain open for two weeks in order for us all to choose the winning design. All members may cast one vote each, and any tie between designs will result in a showdown rematch. The winning design will be submitted to the printer as the official issue card back. The sky’s the limit!

Whether you wish to commit to a card design or not, perhaps you have an idea or a whim to submit an idea for the back of the deck. Do it! While we intend to post artwork for the faces as it comes in, we will keep all artwork for the backs secret until September 1, 2009, when we will post them to be voted upon by everyone!

The same deadline of August 30 applies for submissions, but you needn't commit to anything, just send it down to me (or PM/email me to make arrangements). The same requirements apply - digital images must be at least 300dpi. And that's it!

Although the artist signups are closed with respect to the Faces & Aces, I want to bump this thread to remind everyone (and those who have since joined us) that you can still get involved!

Please consider sending in a design for the card back for us all to vote upon and choose for the back of our custom deck!

Details are above, and the back would need to be received by me by August 30. It will be kept secret until then!
